Lightroom and Photoshop in action

I revisited a shoot I did with Ashley last year to try out a few new post processing things I picked up along the way. It's a good thing to capture in the RAW format, because this image was under exposed by one stop. And since I wanted to work with a pale palette, I needed to rely on the processing offered in Photoshop Lightroom. I proceeded with some retouching and skin smoothing in Photoshop and finished with an edge effect.

An after thought was to do a b&w conversion - sort of.

Portrait photography workshop....

Publicity photography.... the urban look.

I was commissioned by Megumi, First Trombone for the MSO, to do the photography for use as a poster for the trombone manufacturer as well as for her own publicity. The location is the pedestrian bridge beneath the Holton Street bridge over the Milwaukee River and North Water Street.


These images are enhanced with a variety of digital techniques.

I offer my services for Photoshop® work done on images after they have been captured correctly in a digital camera. I have been educated in photography and have continued with workshops both in photography, digital imaging and Photoshop®. I am a member of NAPP (the National Association of Photoshop® Professionals) which offers continuing education with Photoshop® techniques and practices.

This service is offered to consumers and professional photographers who own the copyright to their images. If you do not own the copyright, I will need a copyright release from your photographer (this is between myself and your photographer - and not a "says it's OK), giving me permission to work on your images. Pricing is by quotation after I have reviewed your images and have an understanding of the work you require.

Basic retouching for portraits includes exposure and contrast adjustment, colour neutralizing and simple blemish removal - $25.00 each image. Services for scenic and art images also includes exposure and contrast adjustment, colour neutralizing and conversions such as black and white, toning and edge effects - range from $25.00 and up.

It's all about Marilyn....

I have photographed Ali on three separate occasions now. She is delightful, talented, full of energy and ideas. Sha is also a budding actress and has since relocated to Hollywood. She is also reported to have a brief appearance in the movie "Public Enemies".

This was one of a series of shots she styled.
